  1. start running now, not a lot, very little in fact. start running like 1 mile and see how that goes, if youre comfortable keep doing a mile, if its easy go to 1.5 or 2 miles. do that but dont go really fast and remember to pace yourself. you'll be in shape by the time your training starts.

  2. Well, I am on the Track team in my school, and I also play soccer. Next year I might join the crosscountry team, but id have to give up soccer, so idk. Anyways, youd real good if ur good in soccer. Crosscountry is like the hardest sport, requires a lot of endurance, running, and training, non stop. I wish you the best luck man!!

  3. Well, it sounds like you're a longer-distance runner, so I guess you'd be running the 3000m race in track?

Stay in shape from now until June 7th, eat healthy, drink LOTS of water, ALWAYS stretch. (I learned my lesson the hard way when I pulled my hamstring and gotten a shin splint)

Remember to stretch both before AND after running. It may sound stupid to stretch after...but that's probably even more important than stretching before.

Another thing is, run hills even though the track is flat, it helps to decrease your recovery time.

    Hope this helps

    good luck :)
