Question:

Tips for a container garden, esp. for okra?

Our tomatoes, mint, zucchini, and basil are busting out of their containers, so we're doing something right with those. However, our okra is looking sad, as is our chamomile, and our chile and bell peppers could be doing better.

Any advice for container gardens? We're beginners, and don't know what to grow together, or who needs more or less watering. Lacking a proper lawn, we have enormous pots on our patio.

Mostly, I'm heartbroken about the okra, and I would greatly appreciate high-altitude, low-humidity growing tips.

  2. i fyou are planting okra in pots this is all fine and dandy..however..okra sets out a h**l of a root system per plant ..a ball about a foot around with roots expanding out to the side further than that..You may succesfully grow one plant per pot at the most..but they need some root room...They are getting root bound..
