As most of you know, school is back in session. Monday for me. Yikes. I have always had trouble with not sleeping all through the night and not going to bed early enough. Any tips or tricks? Your answer is much appreciated.

  1. I feel your pain.  Here are some tips.

    Get plenty of exercise

Don't eat within two hours of sleeping

Don't toss and turn.  If you can't sleep just give up for a while.

Don't drink too much before bed

Don't do anything on your bed other than sleep (and s*x if you must)

  2. drink luke warm milk in the night it will help with sleep and other tips here on things to do before bed

  3. Do not eat just before you go to bed.If you listen to music/watch tv.etc.Before going to bed, then turn them off.Try and shut your eyes and rest.Maybe buy an alarm clock?

  4. Try adjusting your sleep schedule by 15 or 20 minutes a night, even if this carries into the school year.

Try relaxing music, reading, and being in a dim room prior to going to sleep.  Also, if you're into natural remedies, try taking melatonin, which is literally sleep hormone your body produces.  It is not a drug, but more of what's already in your body.  Taken at the right dosage, it will make you tired rather quickly.

  5. Stay away from computer at night. It stimulates the brain and you won't feel sleepy. Take a warm water bath, feel relaxed, read some novels and just hit the sack.

    Good luck!
