  1. tips:

    1) always smile- smiling shows you're friendly and you're open to people for conversation. smile at people and teachers.

    2) dress to impress- don't change your style for the first day of school or throughout the year. wear something a little nicer for the first day, but that's it.

    3) have good posture- don't walk in a room slouched over. sit up straight in your seat and walk standing upright.

    4) have confidence- if you get the chance to stand up and talk about yourself the first day in a room, do it right. get up and smile and look people in the eyes, even if you don't know them. it will show you're friendly. you could practice this at home before you start school.

    5) smell nice- spray a hint of a nice perfume/cologne on yourself before each class. =)

    6) act comfortable, even if you're not- this one's hard, but you have to do it. don't go up and talk and keep saying "uh" and such.

    7) be kind- if you see someone who is lost or needs help, help them. that's how you make friends.

    8) be active in school- me and my locker partner became close because of fbla. i met so many upperclassmen and such being in a club. sports are also really good because you will find people with comon interest.

    9) go to orientation- if your school has an orientation, then go. mine did and i know it put my mind at ease that i was able to walk around the school and see where classes and places were before school started.

  2. Smile and be friendly!

  3. Im going to be a freshman too. But you girls don't have to worry about being chased around and duct taped like us guys all you girls are worrying about is how many boys will find you attractive on the first day.

  4. Join some clubs because there is were you will meet some great

friends. It also looks good for college.Try not to get into any scandals or gossip

Remember enjoy freshman year as much as you can because the next three years is going be b****

  5. Don't be overly friendly to people, but don't be mean either. The more adult you act, the farther you will go. What I mean is, if you are trying to click with the popular crowd, be a mature individual. Also, don't s***w up in school, with your grades and things like that. Realize that now a days, you can't even get a decent job without have a college degree.

  6. be easy, meet people, don't be obnoxious, don't be too outgoing nor too reserved. take ur studies seriously, it doesn't have to kill you, and make friends everywhere. it may sound hard but its not, it's life.

  7. Don't act peppy because upperclassmen will hate you.  Be open and friendly to everyone.  Good luck!!!!!!
