Tips for applying foundation?

Sometimes when I put foundation on I can see lines from where it was applied.

buy some cheap inexpensive make up sponges.then get a spray foundation that is liquid.

*first spray three sprays of foundation onto the sponge.

*from the top of your face to the bottom always work your way down trying not to get the tiny hairs on your face to stand up.

*apply it as thinly as possible.(nobody likes a girl with too much make up.

*next take your powder foundation and apply with brush.

- do the same with the powder only with the brush.

Actually, don't buy a sponge. Invest in a good foundation brush. If you use a sponge wedge, it just lets the foundation sit on top, & it wont blend, & it will look cakey and thick later on. Using a brush blends in it better. Using your fingers is NOT bad. They blend foundation well. When you put foundation on around your eye, use your middle or ring finger because they are the weakest, & the skin around your eyes is thin and sensitive. Always wash your hands too before you apply makeup.

Use a wedge sponge to blend your liquid foundation in. Make sure you soak it in water first so that it doesn't absorb too much foundation.

If you're using powder foundation, it's probably because your brush isn't clean, so buy a brush cleaner (Sephora has good ones for $10) and clean your brush by wiping it on a paper towel w/ brush cleaner sprayed on it.

get a sponge or makeup brush then soak it right through with luke warm water, squeeze out all the excess then apply a dot of liquid foundation to your nose, apples and forehead, you should aways start from the center of the face and work your way out, using large strokes or circular motions but always moving downward as this is the way your hairs grow. keep doing this till you have the right amount of coverage then set with powder.
