  1. Well get your arm working.  Because in order to be an outfielder you need a good arm because you need to be able to throw it to the infield.  Here are some suggestions:

    1. Always be prepared (Ready position, looking at the batter, and seeing if he hits the ball.)  If he hits in the air to where you are, get directly under it and put your glove pointing up toward the ball.

    2. Be sure to cover for the shortstop/second basemen/ third basemen/ first basemen.  If a ball is hit in the infield and the infielder misses it, you have to cover him (get behind him).  Once you see the batter hit the ball on the ground, run a little bit behind the infielder and be ready to put your glove on the ground.  Then be prepared to throw to the another base if there is someone attempting to go to the nest base.

    3. If a ball is hit towards you and you feel that you can catch it, call it.  (Say "got it!").  That will let the other out fielders know that you can get the ball and that you're going to try to catch it.

    Good Luck and enjoy playing!!!

  2. hey i play outfeild for softball.

if the ball isnt way past you then try to get right under the ball and line up your face with the ball and as long as you have your glove out you will catch it almost every time. it works for me. and if the ball goes way past you sprint as fast as you can to get there. and dont trip!

have someone throw you fly balls and hard grounders.

    hope it helps.

  3. All you do is stand there ans wait till the ball comes your way and catch the ball. Practice doing some diving catches because it's fun and thats the only the hard part of being an outfielder.

  4. Get someone to hit you fly balls.  Dozens and dozens of them.  Practice setting up deep, and then coming in on the ball.  If you can, have someone to throw to, a "cut-off" player.  Have the cut-off move around so you get practice throwing to different areas, as in simulating throwing to the cut-off player between first and second base, or second and third base.

And most of all, relax and make it fun.

  5. I am also an outfielder you should practice on speed to get to the flies over your head. Also your batting too. For your arm try doing some weight with that arm HUGE difference when i did it.

  6. jus pay atention to the game and ball and have quickness followed by a good arm.
