  1. Yes, you will start to experience pain after having your braces on, the purpose is when the wire placed across your teeth to the back, the Orthodontist makes the attempt to move your teeth, and YA--THEY HURT...

You'll see each month after your visit to the Orthodontist, there's pain because your teeth is moving to where the Orthodontist wants it properly aligned, so you will have a great smile at the very end!

STICK ONLY TO SOFT FOODS after you seen the Orthodontist;l ike soup, pasta, mashed potatos, soft cooked veggies, soft fruit like watermelon, melon, strawberries. See what works for you...

    Good luck, my friend

  2. Advil?

I really just stuck it out without any pain killers and eventually got used to it.

They only time my braces hurt was the on the day and the day after I got my braces tightened.

  3. Ahh my braces hurt like heck the first couple months but then I figured out the trick, you have to take advil/ibuprofen about half an hour before you go to the tightening appointment so then it won't hurt after the orthodontist tightens it, and keep on the pain killers for about a day afterward, then the pain is at least bearable.

  4. Take the ibuprofen, and USE THE WAX they gave you so you don't chew up the insides of your cheeks.   It'll gradually get better each day - just hang in there and think of the pretty teeth you'll have once they are off!  It's worth it!

  5. make sure you have wax, in case of anything poking you. and take a pain reliever. also, drink something cold/hot. either works. maybe some ice cream? and also, having something to bite on does help

  6. think of unicorns and chocolate!! lol

i suggest some advil or motrin. pain relievers!! make sure you have wax tho! you put it on ur braces so nothing pokes your mouth!

  7. Most braces are triggered by hot/cold responses. My braces are triggered by hot responses, so in order for them to be a little less painful I would drink a smooth or eat ice cream. Your braces may work the same way. Maybe its time to take an Advil or Tylenol. Since your teeth are moving, they are shifting in your gums as well, so some of the pain is probably coming from your gums. You can gargle with warm salt water and this will help relieve some of the pain.

  8. try advil, ibprofen doesn't really work 4 me

eat soft foods like yogurt, icecream, smoothies, pudding, jello, etc

    eat something hot too (soup)

get your mind off of it by watching a movie or something

remember that the pain will go away!!!!!! and that the worst is over!!!!!! your teeth will be beautiful

  9. only 1 tip that open wide a bit or  don't touch your teeth because if touch them then it hurts badly

    or

just wait for 1 weak then you will be use to it  and the pain is off forever (guaranteed)

and don't take any type of medicine cause this is for only 1 week

  10. You just have to get use to it. In bout a week (max) there will be no pain at all.

  11. my dentist/orthodonist gave me some wax to rub on it but you can try medicine like advil or clartin

  12. I have braces and sometimes I bite on my gums and it helps ease the pain.
