Tips for cross country?

im doing a mile run on monday. my 1k time is 4:10, any tips?

  1. LOl @ top the 4:10 isnt his mile time its his 1k time xD

    also LOL pasta parties awesome i have them with my cross country team sometimes.

    But if you wanna do good for your mile tmrw, i would drink alot of fluids, mostly water, also eat alot of carbs, like breads and stuff or of course pasta hahaha

    ALso go to sleep early dont stay up to late.


  2. Use the terrain to your advantage, keep the pace uphill and go a little bit faster downhill. Keep your eye on the ground ahead of you, scan the ground before your run onto it, you don't want to step on or in something that is going to cause discomfort (puddle) or that will slow you down (mud, sand, thick grass). Stick to the softest ground that you are able to run on, tarmac is softer than concrete, short dry grass is perfect.

    For a mile run your diet isn't going to make much difference, if your fitness levels allow you to run a mile, you can do it on an empty stomach or the most expensive sport drinks. Just eat a little something half an hour before the run, toast, little bit of plain pasta, a few potatoes.

  3. EAT ALOT of Pasta the night before the race. Better yet invite your friends over and have a pasta party!
