Tips for finding and recovering a stolen car?

I have had my car stolen. It is an old vauxhall nova so im guessing some chavs have nicked it gone joyriding and burnt it out- but i live in hope

Is there any areas i could be looking for my car? like where would a thief abandon a stolen car i.e. disused car park? Is there any statistics for the distances stolen cars have been recovered from the site they were stolen?

Please help, im annoyed and upset and i dont think the police will be able to recover it

its more likely to be striped of any decent parts and ''weighed in'' at your local scrap yard for £100 drug money...the smack head scum they are.
