Tips for hurricane gustav?

i live on the north shore in louisiana and i am not evacuating.

des anyone have any tips about communication, safety, emergencies, or anything of the like?

I know many survivors of Katrina.. from working in the

New Orleans area.

I have checked my flashlights..

I know need to check my radio and make sure

its already.

I am still needing D batteries.

I am getting the laundry done.

get lots of flashlights, food that doesnt go bad, cell phone, radio and good luck!

This means, you may be on the east side of the storm, if it goes in at New Iberia. Lake Ponchatrain is probably going to go over its banks as well as some of the inland bayous. Have your cell phone charged. Whatever you did for Katrina, same goes for this one,too.
