  1. go through the clothes in your closet and try them on, if they don't give them to Good Will

If it is stuff you can't part with, but them in a storage box and put that somewhere in your basement or something

also try and find a bigger shoe rack :), lol

  2. I would suggest visiting a home store like Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Especially at this time of year, they run specials for back-to-school, and you can find closet organizers very cheaply.

I would devote one half of the closet to clothing, and perhaps purchase a double-hanging closet rod to double your vertical storage space. If you also buy an over-the-door shoe storage system, you'll free up half of your closet and be able to store the childhood items you have...in stacked plastic totes, if you wish. If you can, though, put the non-clothes in long-term storage, either in your attic or basement, where they'll be safe and dry, but out of your closet.

  3. get thin hangers made of wire. hang all your tops. sort bottoms by color and material. sort tops on hangers by color. display everything by color and outfits.

  4. I would first strongly recommend you get rid of the old things that you cannot wear anymore that are too small. You can box them up and store them in the attic or some other place.  Or, you can do something for someone and give them away to the needy.  The same with your shoes.

Secondly, you can get more room by organizing pants together, shirts together,etc....Getting dividers and spacers that you can get from Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Bath and Beyond, Linens and Things.
