  1. wear shoes with spikes. play lots and lots of foot ball in rain then you will get practised.

  2. good gloves if your a reciever ,

  3. For Aussie rules anyway, try not to bounce it,and remember chanches are it wont get marked so try to stay down and crumb.

  4. Keep the ball in the forwards.  Kick to the opposition and hope they knock on.

In defence, have the flankers go hard at the scrum half to limit his kicking options

  5. Hard to know what code but the rules are the same in any.

Main one is 'keep it simple but not too simple".  Cut a little off your passes (don't go for the big one).  Wear longer studs if the ground is slippery.  You can buy some great sticky stuff for your hands to help you grip the ball.  It's legal in most sports.  Remember the ball will skid on if that's in the sport you play - so kick it a bit softer if your looking to land it somewhere.  Try to keep your side steps and shimmies a little smaller than normal but most of all .... have fun!  LOVE playing in the rain.  Some of the guys are hating it and if you have that attitude, you can have a ball!

  6. Wear a wet towel in the back of your pants and wipe your hand on it after every play so if it rains you will used to your hands being wet and slippery.
