  1. First and foremost think of Allah. Also, I find that thinking of how blessed I am to be able to fast keeps me going. For example: there is certain criteria that has to be met in order to be able to fast. The old, sick, children, pregnant women, menstruating women, et. are not suppose to fast. That means that Allah has blessed you with health, and you are old enough to fast. You are also blessed enough to have the option to fast. You get to look forward to 830pm. That makes me very thankful to know I have food to eat. Others aren't so lucky.

    On the other hand, wake up early and eat high protein and high fiber foods that will fill you up. My morning breakfast will usually be the following;

    Tall glass of water

    Dates

    Granola Cereal w/ low fat milk and strawberries

    Another tall glass of water

    Inshallah this helps

  3. Sorry sister but that's kind of the point lol! The hunger pains and general hunger are to remind you of the starving, imagine how they feel, atleast we get to eat at sunset!

    But i do understand its hard i know i can feel really weak and the hunger pains can be really bad. Think of Allah and why your fasting in the first place. Also try eating something more wholesome in the morning, more filling you know? Im gonna have an omelate with couple slices of toast a cup of tea and some water, i'm pretty sure that will keep me going. And anything else i find to munch on lol. Hope i helped in some way,x

  4. hello there sis!

    if you don't like the noise, avoid gassy meals during sahur.  Eat lots of carbs and veggies.  Also,  dont forget to always include milk in your diet (both sahur and iftar).  It helps a lot!

    You may also want to drink a lot of water to prevent yourself from dehydration.  Eat slowly, (I know you're hungry, but take your time, lol), so you won't get stomach ache right after ;)

    Happy fasting!

  5. My dear sister salam for you. By fasting among others you will get feeling how the poor people are hungry and thisrty because they have no money to buy it..By fasting you have more social feeling and keep more patient.

    Tips for enduring your fasting during ramadan are (1)be aware that fasting is our obligation and also our needs for strengtheing out taqwa(compliance to Allah) (2)be aware there are so many the benefits of fasting  such as healthier,happier,closer to Allah,Allah's blessing and forgiveness etc (3) prepare your foods and drinks as you like for sahoor or breakfast  nearly before fajr with enough quantity and quality (nutrition).It is better prepare your sahoor lately but before shubuh time.

    (4) prepare your aftar just a moment after maghrib with same enough foods and drinks as you like. (5)during the day you must make a busy activities but do not need to much energy so your mind is not to the foods and drinks.such as salat/prayer,Qur'an reciting and learn its meaning verse by verse,read islamic books or listen islamic music etc.

  6. Try distracting yourself from the hunger pains, by reading quran, praying, anything. ive found that if i eat a lot before fajr, i get hungrier during the day, so i usually have something light to eat. ramadan kareem.
