Tips for starting a magazine?

well i want to start a music magazine on a website

any places i can go to either get me started or like help me?

If I were you, I'd check out already published music magazines. I'm not really into music magazines, but teen magazines. So for music, I'd say maybe Nylon and Rolling Stones. Check them out and see what they feature so you have an idea. Look at photos, headline, cover stories, art, reviews etc. You get the general idea. Also, when it comes to the music world, check out the latest gossip, newest albums, upcoming artists, etc. Figure out what concerts, music artists, or producers will be displaying their materials or having concerts. Those are great for picture moments. Also with magazines, you need to research, research, and research. You have to book interviews with people or find other sources through other publications. This is going to be hard, but if you are resourceful, you will know what to do. Hit me up if you need some other ideas or help.

have a crew that you could trust

always be open for criticism

be in the latest concerts and shows to be "in"

have a cool name

consult the public for the songs that you want to feature.
