  1. Ok. You Gotta Work REALLY Hard On All Ur Strokes At Practice. and really push ur weak strokes.

    On meet day.

for the first 25 of butterfly, start out strong, and don't fall behind. For backstroke, move ur speed up a little more. and KICK like u have NEVA kicked b4!!

For Breastroke, i reccoment learning the special flip turns ( their r 2 ) for going from back 2 breast.  If you already know them USE THEM they make you go soooo much faster.  if you dont know them do a normal turn, on breastroke, start putting full effort into your swim. for free, SPRINT like u have NEVA SPRINTED B4.

Finally when u touch the wall touch with ur finger tips first, it makes ur time faster - special hint from Ian Crocker and Misty Hyman, thanks for visitin our swim clinic ! -

    hope it helps!

  2. work your best and worst strokes

Fly breathe every 3 strokes, free ok to breathe every stroke

You really don't get tired from a 100 IM because when you switch strokes you get a second wind

  3. okay. i love 100im cuz you can just sprint the whole way!

i think it willl be easier than you thought it would be...

its really not that bad at all.

dont kill yourself in fly though, i tend to not breathe enough and then during backstroke im heaving.

but youll be fine, work on your turns really hard before the meet, you can really gain on someone or losea  race just from that.

    good luck !

  4. okay atleast it is not a 200 im. :-) lol

so when u start with the butterfly, have a good dive, and strong good kick. but dont go way too fast and tire yourself out.

on the back. get a good pushoff the wall and streamline and good kick.and breaststroke, take long strokes and kick hard. get a good pull down. and the free, sprint as HARD AS U CAN!!!!!!!!

i think you should probably sprint on the free and on your best stroke. if the free is ur best, then sprint on the free and your second best stroke as well.

    good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. If you're an experienced swimmer sprint the whole thing. Also make sure your turns and breakouts are fast.

  6. are you just a summer league swimmer?

well, if you are, go fast on the fly, fast on the back, long strokes on the breast, and SPRINT LIKE h**l on the free

if your are a year round swimmer, (isnt it long course season?)

    just sprint the WHOLE THING

  7. Dont' take it all out on the fly go about 3/4 speed. When swimming the back you need to control your breathing otherwise you will cramp up later on in the race. breast stroke is when you should start speeding it up. its a power stroke. freestyle...give it all ya got. finish off the race strong. oh and when going from back to breast...touch the wall before turning. you'll get DQ'd

  8. The 100 IM is one of the best events.  If you remember to keep it pretty slow in the fly, you'll do perfectly.  Here's what you should do:

Do a fast and aggressive dive.  Do a few dolphin kicks and pop up quickly.  Don't breathe on your first stroke.  After that breath every stroke - or every other stroke, whatever is more comfortable.  In the backstroke, keep a breathing pattern and save your legs.  Make your move in the breaststroke.  I promise you, everyone else will be tired, too.  Push it on this lap.  In the free, use everything you have left.  Don't breathe from the flags in.

  9. My best tip is to concentrate on your kick.  Remember to kick really hard in fly, back, and free.  Maybe try and pace yourself instead of sprinting the whole thing since its your first time.  Good luck!

  10. uhhh i swim year round and 100 is a peice of cake,

you just sprint the whole thing!
