Tips for using Revlon frost and glow

Question

This will be my first time using it. My hair is dark brown and I color it at home, I get a few greys. I bought the chestnut highlighting kit. Any pointers would be great. If you have used it how did it work for you and does the color fade?

Yes I know a salon would be ideal but I do not have salon $.

I use it all the time.  The color doesn't fade, it grows out.  My only tips are that make sure you comb your hair thoroughly before you put the cap on to make sure it doesn't get tangled and make sure you don't press down on it after you put the bleach on.  If you do it may leak inside and cause spots.

I know you said a salon is not the ideal thing as of right now, but i just have to warn you.. those box dyes are very bad for your hair, they dry it out and make it so very brittle after a while. i know it's hard to spend the extra cash on a salon, but it is so worth it in the long run.

if you still prefer to do it at home, the best thing i can say is stop using box dyes. visit a beauty supply shop, like sally's beauty supply, maly's, cosmoprof, or whatever is in our area.. (google it) and buy the actual hair dye that the cosmetologists use. it ranges about 7-20 dollars, it depends on what you get, and its SO much better for your hair.

another thing i can suggest is buying a deep conditioning mask for your hair, most of them are 1 dollar and totally worth it!
