Tips for washing my baseball jersey?

Help! I have a curtis granderson jersey and I'm not sure of the best way to clean it!

Should I hand wash it ? Dry clean it ? Wash it by itself in the washing machine ?

I don't want it to get those little balls of it when it pills or whatever it's called!

Follow the washing directions but turn it inside out, use the gentle or hand wash cycle. Then hang it up to dry. If you want to be even more cautious put it inside of a pillowcase before you wash it. Next time you wear it, put on a light weight t-shirt under it, this will keep it cleaner.

Wash it by hand in gentle detergent and warm water.  Do not twist.  Gently squeeze to wash and rinse.  Hang to dry.
