Like how you prune the roots.

Where to cut and where to tie down?

I'm replicating a big tree and a a pond with a guy fishing from it.

  2. my father was really into bonsai trees.and an old asian dude told him that for the first 3 years  "don't mess a root" he took it as don't mess with. he told him to plant it outside in a rocky area  or in a hole in a boulder.which would make the roots naturally spread out instead of digging down. he would cut anything that went straight up,and as far as tying that's really up to the tree

  3. I've referred you to this site for comprehensive instructions. Good Growing.
