Question:

Tips of becoming a pro baseball player?

I am 16 years old and a sophmore at high school. It has been my lifelong dream to become a pro baseball player. I am doing really well in baseball and on the JV level, I batted .600 with two home runs and 4 RBI's in 4 games as a freshman. I know I would have had a great season had I not been injured. I can already hit an 85 MPH fastball, no joke. I am a decent 2nd baseman and shortstop, and I have good speed to steal bases. I am a very good contact hitter and I do have some power. Does anyone have any tips on how to make my dream come true? By the way, I have a somewhat husky figure.

  1. you need to get to varsity ASAP. If you dont make varsity this year, sorry, but you dont have a shot. Lots of people can hit and 85 mph fastball too.

  2. Just go all the way dude. I can't really say how your dream can come true just be your best.

  3. you need to get exposed by scouts so if i were you, i would def play in some big and gold level tourneys. you should see if theres a local team that goes to the mickey mantel national tourney. that is where all the major scouts are. Make sur u play on one of these teams bc this is where college scouts and pro scouts go for future players. if you are as good as you say and you have the potential to go pro, this shouldnt be that hard for you to do. also, try contacting some college coaches your senior year and send them some of your stats and videos so they get to know you. good luck with going pro. btw, JV is nothing like varsity, ive played both.

  4. stick a second more teams need second basemen then shortstop and practice alot dont take any chance for grantid and go to a good baseball school
