Tips on Babysitting a 6/yo Boy and an 8/yo girl?

I'm babysitting 2 kids. A 6/yo boy and 8/yo girl. They like to hit and they never stop playing or rough housing. They have a pool. Which is what I hope they will want to do all day but does anyone has any games or tips or ideas for me.. so I don't lose my mind in those long 4 hours. They are my neighbors and I've known them my whole life(the parents). And so the kids know me very well so they aren't afraid to hit me or make me crazy!!!! They like to do things together but I don't know any games beside Hide-and-go -seek. HELP!

any board games

while swimming, have them find the money at the bottom of the pool (toss in some pennies and see if they can find it)

cards

video games

art (drawing, pottery etc)

You can make them play a board game that's might be fun for them. All I can think about is Monopoly, but whatever can consume enough time before they get tired of it. You can try hide and go seek, and leave them hiding for a few more minutes before you "find" them. :) But really, if it's going to be hot enough then you can ask them to go swimming. Put a ball in it or something. Whatever keeps them entertained. Or have them watch TV unless there's a curfew to a certain time. I'm sure they have toys? Let them have fun with that. You pretty much want to have them exhausted and busy so they aren't in your hair as much.

Kids love crafts...coloring, drawing, making crafts, playing with playdough, moonsand etc.  Theres also a game I play...where each of you has a piece of paper, and draws a shape, ANY shape, on the paper, and you pass the paper to the person to your right...and they make a picture out of the shape you drew, and you make a picture out of the shape they drew....it keeps em occupied for HOURS.  If you have a computer and printer handy...you could look up coloring pages on the themes that thay are interested in as well.:) Hope I Helped:)

Geo and Julia?? Julia hits?? i didnt know that! she seems too sweet! guess not. Watch a couple episodes of super nanny. kidding. when they hit you, ignore it and walk away from them. They will get mad that u arent playing with them and  they will start being nice. Little kids need to be intertained. thats why it will bug them that u arent around. And dont worry about leaving for too long because it wont take that long for them to want u to come back. But play games in the pool like marco polo. if they have diving rings u can play with those. and have races, and a breathe holding contest. u can make up stuff too. make up games and competitions that they can do together. anything to keep them ocupied.
