Tips on Producing Dubstep?

Im just starting to attempt some dubstep productions and wondered if anyone had any tips. Im Ok at makin beats and i can make "wobbly" bass sounds but i was wondering if theres anything that makes dubstep really like dubsteppy. Eg preffered tempos and frequencies for different sounds.
