  1. Get strong. Get fast.

  2. Start working out at the gym

    when i first started playing i was 5'6 130

    now im 5'10 and 165

Eat 3-5 meals a day and hit the gym 3 times a week, this will help improve strength and stamina and you will notice a difference while you play.  You either need to be really fast or really strong or both to play this game to its best potential.

Use what you have to your advantage, giving 100% is one of the best ways to play the game

  3. Work on your upper body strength as well as your legs. Whn running in a game run as hard as you cna and dont stop. Also put your body on the line in defence.

  4. erm, well, speed and strength are usefull, but finess is key in rugby,...im 10st(140) but i have played at 7st (95) and still play in a physical way in the u18s....you could work on kicking and passing from rucks, that would make you and ideal scrumhalf....or outhalf...

  5. my tip is to train on your positution,if you are defance you  got to put musle on your arms and if your forward you got to practice your running.

  6. I played 2 years when I studied in France, get ready for some bruising.

Its like when you first play your guitar & get caluses in your fingers. You need a lot of Stamina & don't ever fear to do anything.

If you're going to be afraid of hurting yourself while playing then you're not ready.

  7. watch rob burrow as a half back  . adrian morley as a prop and chris hicks as a winger  . and learn from what they do as they prob the best at what they dio in super league at the moment  . and do loads core exercises for you strengh
