Question:

Tips on being a Master of Ceremonies at a sports meet?

Hi, I've been asked to be the MC (Master of Ceremonies) at a sports meet this coming weekend. Its a basic track and field competition, 100m, 200m, etc. etc.

I've never done this in a sports meet before. And I was hoping if anyone can spare some ideas, or tips? Or warnings on things you completely hate the MCs to do.

Plus. I'll be partly in charge of the music being played. So, any ideas on that as well? Suggestions?

THANKS!

  1. Iv been a MC a couple of times and the most important thing is to bee yourself wile you are up there and HAVE FUN!!!!! Make sure you are enthusiastic. crack a couple jokes or sumthn. as far as music goes just think of music that would appeal to everyone includin parents and maybe before the ceremony try to ask some of the parents what kinda music they would like to here. I hate it when MCs try 2 hard and "over do it" so really the key to success is to be comfortable and be yourself.  Good Luck!!!!!
