Tips on filming a music video.?

I have to create a proffesional looking music video for school and i am looking for any tips or toutorials to editing and filming.

  1. Ok.

    The first and most important is a theme for your video.

    usually this can be easier if you focus it around a song that you wish to use and base it on that.

    while filming try not to hold the camera but rather use a tripod or something stable.

    a good option is a soccer ball when you place the camera on top of the ball you can rotate the angles with smother actions.

    as for editing one of the easiest pieces of software is windows movie maker.

    if you have never used movie editing software before try messing with a short clip off the Internet on movie maker for practice.

    when editing try to keep scenes short so as they don't get too boring or dull. try cutting them up a bit and swapping around.

    Remember while the music is on we can only see the action nor hear it, so add good visual actions in clips like dancing or messing around with lots of expressions.

    But the best advise i can give you is to enjoy doing it have fun because as all film makers know your personality will be evident within your production!
