Tips on holding a good house party??

The best ideas come from the heart.  If these are close friends you can have them bring a covered dish or some other food item.  If you are charging them, you need to supply everything.  Nothing ruins a good party like running out of food or drink.  Keep that flowing with good music and they'll remember your party.

Turn it into like a club scene. Move the furniture, get a disco ball or a red light. Make a bunch of CD's or plug up the iPod if you have the proper equipment. I'd serve some finger foods, but very light. Maybe pizza rolls, chips and dip, chicken wings, etc. Not sure what the age for this party is, but Jell-O shots are always a hit! And make sure to have regular drinks like soda, juice, water, or sports drinks.
