Tips on how to become a producer and radio dj?

would i have to start off at an internship? or is it better to start at a small radio market on air then work my way up?

in big markets they usually require a few years on air

i want to also me a music producer/publisher

i looked up industry meetings

but my songs aren't produced yet

i heard thecompany TAXI accepts songs

thats a publishing company

but im not sure if there legit

  1. As far as radio goes, lots of people start as interns in high school or college.  Also, starting off in a small market is much easier.  I lucked into my first job in a top 50 market....dumb luck.  I've been in radio 20+ years.  Not much money, but it is fun.  Good luck to you.


  2. I went to College to be in radio and did a few interships to build contacts.  But the other guy was wright about the money I got out after I coudn't make a living at it. I still Mobile DJ thou..
