  1. Well of course breathing, however you said you didn't want that. I like to stand up and walk up and down and think of something else. Something happy.

There's always music, bring some music to get your mind off of the driving test.

  2. Put it in perspective...so what if you mess up, you start over it's all.

Although you don't like the breathing exercises, it's an excellent way to control nerves.  In by the nose, enough air to blow up your stomach and out by the mouth with enough pressure to deflate your stomach.  Athletes use it, therapists use it and babies naturally breathe this way.   It's a proven and scientific technique.

If you have your health and are lucky enough to be taking a road test, you're very fortunate.  Many don't make it there.

    Good luck!

  3. This is the one I use everyday....

Ask yourself what is the worst that can happen (in ur case flunk the road test).... u'll take it again. Big deal!

It is not like u are in Iraq going to get hit with a bullet and die.. Think what real stress is and how our brave Marines face it everyday!

  4. As you  have practiced driving, have you driven with anyone that you feel at ease with?  If so, then imagine that you are driving with that person.  Don't look directly at the driving instructor during the road test and keep focused on the road and what you already know about driving.  Also, keep hearing that friendly voice inside especially when/if the instructor speaks.

It may also be helpful to act like you are doing a teaching demonstration by imagining that the instructor is really a fellow student - preferably that friend whom you have driven with and feel at ease with.

You can do this - now - simply do it.
