Tips on how to have a Lucid Dream..?

Anyone know of any tips to have lucid dreams?!

And don't tell me to smoke somethin, that's hallucination, not lucid..

  1. Lucid dreaming requires practice.  You could consume foods with magnesium in them before you sleep (helps to make dreams vivid) and think about a dream you would like to have and concentrate on this.  keep a dream journal too, focusing on past dreams will help you realize your dreaming when you experience a similar one.  The more you do it the better you become.  I find that lucid dreams don't last as long as the other kind you tend to have to hold on to them.


  2. Some people have the ability and some don't. Lucid dreaming is simply being aware that you are dreaming. Try and realize that you are dreaming.

  3. There are a few techniques available as instructions online if you google lucid dreaming, or try the link below that seems to have some good information.

    Personally I find triggers in my dreams, recurring situations, instances or objects that i realise do not happen in waking life and these become my triggers for knowing i am dreaming. Often this is in the form of numbers, rarely do cellphones and other uses of numbers work well in my dreams, they become impossible to read or use and this lets me realise I am dreaming. There are also certain situations that occur frequently which i now recognise as dream scenarios, then the lucidity kicks in.

    Getting to know your own dreams is a great help in this, so try making notesof your dreams for a few weeks and see if you have reoccurrences and frequent similarities of your own, once you recognise these in waking it is easy to recognise them when sleeping too. :-)
