Tips on how to lose weight?

I'm 14, 5'3, and weigh 140 pounds (I know, alot, huh?) The thing is, I don't look like I weight 140, but still, I want to be healthy. I want to lose around 20-30 pounds. I used to have a gym membership, but I moved and they don't have 24 hour fitness here.

After I moved here I've been eating too much junk food.

Can you tell me some ways to exercise and what foods to stay away from or not have too much of? (I'm guilty!- I like pasta too much!!!)

Also, how many hours between each meal. Thank you!

    but just run. Jog around the block or something. Trust me it will work. Also do some ab workouts to not only slim the waist, but also increase your metaboslim.

    Running I advise more.

    Oh ya also what the first answer said, dont you run 1 hour a day! Almost to me looks impossible for a person who justs start...Just find a block or something and jog a pace that you like untill you feel better at in fitness. This goal is going to be a slow one.

  4. do crunches to tighten your tummy muscles, and start running every morning. eat healthy, eat 5 times a day [snack between breakfast and lunch and a snack between lunch and dinner] do NOT eat after 9pm.

    eat fruits and vegetables but not too many because too much is unhealthy.

  8. Good for you! Don't go cold turkey, it makes it so hard to keep to it. workout 3-5 days a week for 30+ minutes. Switch up your workout so you stay excited. You can go on you tube and look up some fun workouts, I do 8 minute abs every day. Yoga is fun and it really relaxes you. Running/jogging, you learn to love it and it is an anti-depressant. Aerobics is the funnest! You can purchase videos like Denise Austin which are practically always amazing. You can even order workout videos rom netfix which I am also planning to do. For food.. Instead of ice cream freeze a banana (without peel) and it has the same texture as ice cream! You can also eat sugar-free popsicles which range from 15-40 cal. Or freezing fat-free yogurt. Even though oatmeal if good for you, eating it for breakfast makes you 80% more likely to binge throughout the day. And do NOT drink ANY carbonated drinks. Even if you drink diet soda. It contains high fructose corn syrup which triggers something in your brain that makes you come back for more food. High fructose corn syrup AND calorie free sugar (splenda, extra...) leads to weight gain. Start off slow and good luck!

  10. ok well sweat cause you to lose weight so stay underneath a towel for like half an hour and you will lose some weight and also wear a garbage bag when working out that'll make you lose weight... and also eat watermelon that is good food to diet on... and most importantly get enough sleep...
