Tips on how to reduce global warming?

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what I can do around the home to help reduce the impact I have on global warming?

  2. Plant lots of trees on your block they filter the air.

    Use solar hot water and power if you can, that Will save you heaps.

    Plant shrubbery around the house windows that loose there leaves in winter to allow light and warmth to get inside.

    Recycle just about everything  including food.

    Grow you own veggies and save heaps.

    make shopping bags from Canvas double sew the handles for strength ,refuse plastic bags

    deposit Christmas card into a recycle place after Christmas along with all the wrapping paper.

    Keep you eyes open for other ideas its all worth it

  4. Global warming is due to the increase in the concentration of green house gases. If we can cut down the emmission of these gases we can reduce global warming to some extent.

    CO2 is the major green house gas and 82% of CO2 generated by human activity is because of fulfillment of energy related demand.

    Small steps which we can take to reduce global warming are:

    - Use public transport rather then individual cars.

    - Stop using polluting vehicles.

    - make use of solar energy

    - grow as many as trees as possible

  7. Try not to leave lights on in the house to much, and try to recycle. The only way your going to see improvement is if you do some action.

    No to barbeque...?? I know barbeque is lush... but y dont we use the oven???

    2. have energry efficent things

    3. Turn the water of when brushing your teeth

    4. When taking a shower take the leftover water and get it in a bucket,water your plants or trees with that water

  13. We do a lot of things around the home.  Now that I don't work full time, I have more time, and by reducing the "convenience" items I've also reduced my carbon foot print.

    I hang laundry rather than putting it in the dryer.  When the weather is too damp to put it outside, I hang it on hangers, then run the dryer a much shorter time.

    There are a ton of "tips" available on the net for home improvement projects and lifestyle adaptations. When I have a chance, I'll try to post some good links.

    Oh, when I turn the computer off, I also switch off the power strip.  I do the same for the TV.  It's small, but I've read that it "adds up."

    American fertilizer is good and you should fertilize those plants per week.
