Tips on jumping my horse?

ok me and my horse lucy jump all the time. ive taught her everything from the ground up. i am a pretty experienced jumper and i know quite a bit about it. well lucy tends to throw stuff at me at random. go over the jump 3 times perfect then refuse out of nowhere. shes an amazing jumper i just need tips on how to get her over the jumps without the concern of the refusals. any tips? thank you! :D

Make sure that you are keeping her in a good forward motion. Keep your leg on and keep pushing her forward. You maybe relaxing after she goes over a few times and not realizing it, or if you are worried about her refusing you maybe tensing up and getting heavy with your hands. Something to definitely watch for. This maybe giving her no propulsion to keep going. Just make sure you have your weight in your heals and your leg on!

I would suggest a crop. The next time she ducks out like that give her a good whack - but be prepared for her not to like it. You will probably only have to get after her once or twice with it to make the point. Just make sure before you start carrying the crop that you aren't giving her mixed signals - otherwise all you will do is make her sour.

I also have taught my horses to jump myself, and have had this problem many times!

Stay on your toes (though not literally)!

I would suggest riding her with a crop. You don't have to use it, just carry it.

Be prepared to give her a little tap with it if she tries to refuse!

I almost never have to use a crop on my horses, all I need to do is carry it. They are smart enough to know that I will use it if they are being stupid.

You may only need to use it once!

Experienced rider !! humm You are not, sorry to say!  You need to learn your strides and how to seat etc ,,

Please get lessons before you ruin her for good,

She is refusing because of YOU ,,

It sounds like, that she is sweet , but she will only put up with only so much abuse,
