  2. Hi, your quickest and easiest way to get a shower is to use a shower tray. Can you move the floor waste? If you can, a shower tray will solve all your problems. They are the best waterproofing possible and will NEVER leak.

They come with full installation instructions and can be purchased in many different sizes and designs. Here in Australia they cost about $99 - $350. Should be cheaper in other countries.

    I hope this helps

  3. you will want to start with centralizing the drain (its much easier if it's in the center) then lay down cement board (you'd use this on walls also for setting tile. Then build a wood form to pour a concrete "curb" you'll want square edges for attaching tile. use thin set mortar to form your floor and slope evenly from the outer edges to the centered drain. Buy tile on the cloth or platic backed sheets and lay the tile, lay up the curb and the walls, grout, seal and enjoy. Big project but worth it. Basically take your time laying out everything in advance and doubl checking everything and you'll have it pretty easy.

  4.    You do it like Duh sez and you ll have a guaranteed leak some time soon..   You will have to recenter the drain  and using a special drain itself the allows you to attach the rubber  / vinyl pin liner..  Building the outer curb is  generally 3  2x4 s on their side both there are variations of this. This allows the liner to go up and over the curb to keep water in.. Then after that  you can cement board the  walls leaving the cement board off the floor a bit..Then you can put in a cement floor shaping it to level on the perimater and sloping it to the drain  Tile Council recommends a 1/4 in drop per foot as a minimum  So from furthest point (corner) is approx 2.5 feet  so   I usuall do a about a 3/4 inch drop for drainage..

This usually isn t a   1 st timer or average DIY job unless your raelly handy but i wish you luck  GL

  5. duh.. is right but he forgot the water proof membrane. This must be installed to provide a leak proof shower. It is available in rubber sheets or a thick liquid you can brush on. Rubber sheets (used as a shower pan liner) are installed before anything, or the liquid can be applied after backerboard is installed. or you can use both for good measure.

Here's a great video to get you going..
