Tips on marketing please?

How do you market in an urban area? Please help this is a serious question.

From Marketing 101, marketing can be boiled down to making decisions on the four P's:

Product

Price

Place

Promotion

I'm guessing from your name that the Product is shoes, but we don't know that for sure.

If it is shoes, then Price is a function of Cost of Goods and overhead.

Just by saying "urban," I don't get a feel for where you are.  Could you give us a city or cities and whether it's up-scale or down-scale clientel?

So if you could update your question with more precise information, I think we can do a better job answering it.

OK, have you thought about talking to shoe store owners to allow you to place flyers by the cash register.  Most people will pick up free things while they're waiting to be checked out.  You can tell the shoe store owner you will feature his shoes so it will generate more sales for him.  

I think the biggest problem you're facing is this economic downturn.  People are holding onto their money more these days.  After buying gas and food, people have less to spend on anything else--at least that's what I'm seeing here in Arkansas.  Plus I see Florida as an older demographic, and most of them wouldn't be interested in your services.
