Tips on news writing please!!!?

please give me tips on news writing. my school joined a journalism contest and they chose me as the representative. i dont know what to do. i mean, i do love writing (they even consider me as a bookworm) and i have written in the school paper lots of times but i really need more information so that i can make my school proud of me and be a better writer. Thanks!!!

P.S. news writers please please please please please give me information!! HELP!!!! i really need HELP!!!!!!

Be objective but fair and unbiased.  The problem now days with the news agencies is that they have their own agendas and therefore do not report the news, they make them.  As long as you don't fall into that trap you will be alright.
