  1. to start with make sure the plasterboard is dark side facing you if its not PVA it make sure when you mix the plaster it has no lumps and it looks like a thick yogurt

when all that has been done then lay on your first coat this coat need only be fairly level because its the next layer that needs to be flat, once you have layed on the first coat leave until it is quite firm to touch but not hard then lay on second coat and make sure it is flat once you have layed on the whole of the second coat then you must trowel up,you do this with a big brush and water

dip the brush in the water and shake off excess then lightly brush it on the plaster and gently trowel the wall until flat

    best of luck

  2. First use a straight edge to check that the plaster board is straight  vertically and horizontally, if it is then apply a coat of carlite bonding 3mm/4mm thick using a metal trowel trowel it in.

Then scratch surface with a plastic devil float, setting time for this is about one a half hours - two an half hours.

Then apply a 2mm coat of carlite finish this final coat will take about the same time to set trowel in using a good size water brush
