  1. Open your stride up    thats definately important

  2. Um, well I don't put my feet down all the way. I put them down till they're level whether the ground is or not, except downhill. It helps alot and just keep your normal pace, slow down or speed up as you feel needed but don't forget to push yourself a little.

  3. On running down hill, take longer strides. Take advantage of going fast while you can. Take shorter strides when going uphill. When going downhill, make sure your feet don't slam on the ground (it wears your shoes more and also slows your running a bit). Good luck  : ]

  4. in a workout run slow. down hills are one of the number one causes for shin splint in running. when your in a race you completely let go. dont speed up dont slow down just let your legs take you as fast as the hill will allow. in fast races people go  down hill and look like they are about to fall over cause they cant keep up with there legs but trust me you will. one maybe even more important thing is to run perpendicular to the hill. this requires you to lean forward a little bit but if you stay the way you are you will be running on your heels and that is not as effecient and slower. just let loose and dont fight it.

    thank you for running
