Leaving my timing a bit late, but does anyone have tips on running an office rugby pool for RWC 2007. I'd like to run a pool that keeps it interesting for everyone involved (so opportunities to win involving more than just the winner of the RWC).

  1. Yeah check this link bro. I started about a month ago - but theres's one thing I would change - reverse the order of the points, so 30 points for picking the winner and runner up from each pool and 20 for quarter final winners, 10 for the semis and 5 for the champion - that way you won't have to split the pot between so many people with the same picks and one dark horse in the early rounds will separate the barflies from the punters.

  2. Our office has started a pool where we pick our WC fantasy team (max 4 players per team and no player may be picked out of position). Then during the WC, the players earn points based on their performance (eg: try gives 100 points, penalty going against your player gives -30 points, etc).

The fantasy team with the most points after the WC gets all the money received from the entry fee that each person had to pay.

Check out the website www.testrugby.com, who will be compiling the player stats for the WC.

    Cheers
