  1. The best way to breathe is in your nose and out your mouth. You need to train consistently daily if you really want to get better. You can take a day off once a week. You can do speed work one day and distance work another day. If you are a beginner you can't push yourself too hard at the beginning. You can run and then walk, but make sure you are trying your best. That race is going to be mental more than physical. You have to have it in your mind that you can do it and you can't let the pain take over. You should try to go to the gym and just do some weight training and eat as healthy as possible. That should help you tremendously. After you run everyday you can do sit ups and push ups for core training. Make sure you stretch very well to prevent injuries as well. Good luck in your race. Keep training.

  2. why does every1 say it is best to breathe through your nose and out your mouth, you can not get enoguh oxygen!!

  3. a very important thing not known enough is to just strecth.

aside from running strecthing will help you not get sore while you run and its a good habit to be in for all around life.

(now aside from strecthing) what you need to do is start slow and work your way up so run 2k then take a day break then run 2k again then a day break and next time 3k and continue till you can run 5k so that the 4 will be know challeng for you

  4. Start kind of slow in the beginning, and work your way faster. And breath through your nose not your mouth. It helps you get more in. Push ups, sit ups, and bicep curls will help you. You need a strong core to be a runner. I ran the Iron Man competition in Hawaii, and I found out that the faster you move your arms, it automatically makes your legs go faster.
