  1. Blow out of your nose when underwater or hum. The humming works, you'd be surprised. and for the floating thing, legs will float as long as you let them.

  2. http://www.tipsandtreats.com/swimming-ti...

  3. You do not, and should not, use no plugs. Disregard the guy who gave you that poor advice. When putting your face in the water or going all the way under, no the water will not go up your nose. However, if you were to go under backwards (facing up, rather than down) then yes, the water will go up your nose, but if you blow bubbles out of your nose then you will prevent this from happening. For the floating, just take a deep breath and try to lie in a completely prone position. Think of it this way, if you take a deep breath and fill your lungs with air, then they will keep you alfoat. If you expel that air then you will sink. Keep practicing and don't give up.

  4. Water may get in your nose, just remember to keep your mouth shut and blow bubbles out your nose.  You'll be fine.  If water does continue to get in your nose, as you're hitting the water start blowing bubbles immediately.

As far as the leg thing goes, your instructor is trying to teach you to float and to get you used to the swimming position (having your legs behind you at all times).  Just hold the bar and swing your legs out and just float there.  If you're legs start sinking kick a bit and get them back at the top of the water.  Hope I helped.

  5. no the water wont go up your nose

unless your intentions are to suck air up your nose under water where there is no air

lay back and kick your legs up

  6. 1. When you duck under water water probably won'

t go in your nose but just in case it does blow bubbles out of your nose.

    2. To keep your legs out straight you need to keep your hips up and tighten your stomach.

  7. How's it going Ranu.  I know how you feel because I had the same feelings when I started to learn how to swim.

Before you put your head under the water, you need to take in a deep breathe, then hold your breathe under the water..  whenever you feel like you need to take a breathe under water, you can slowly blow air out or blow out through your nose (This takes practice)...  but when you feel like you are completely out of air you can bring your head out to get some air.

About your second question, I'm guessing your swimming instructor is saying to bring your legs into the freestyle position...  you need to ask your instructor to teach you more.. it's basically you on your belly and you kicking while moving your arms... if you need more tips just message me and I'll try my best to help you...  good Luck!

  8. Since your 13 your going to pick it up really quickly so dont worry about that!

That water wont go into your nose unless you try to breath in through it, practise in you sink or bath tub and youl see what i mean. Some people find it easier to breath out of their nose the whole time to keep the water out but i dont find this helpful for me. Just make sur eyou get you head clear of the water when you want to breath and youl get it right!

As for the kicking just hold on to the bar and keep your legs moving and they will stay on top of the water

    Good luck

  9. First, don`t panic.

    1. The water will go inside your nose, because  you need to breath, my tip is get some "clip" for swimming in the store , they will understand what are you asking for.

2.Before holding the  bar on the edge,  stay close to the stairs to go down to the pool (shallow zone) and grab the stairs with your hands, then put your legs down to stand. Repeat.
