  1. use the smallest/medium rollers you have. hairspray the hair your about to roll first, then roll it. try and roll it as tight as you can so the curls are tighter and stay longer.

then after doing your whole head hairspray it!

oh and we've always used sponge rollers and they turn out good if you do them right!

  2. ive NEVER had a good experience with sponge curlers... they take too long to put in then look BAD when they come out.  i recommend getting up early and just bustin out the ol curling iron sry

  3. Sponge rollers can give a fabulous, long lasting curl, but the can also give the Little Orphan Annie look too.  Here are things to consider when using sponge rollers.

    1) What is the curl amount you are going for?

    2)  What length hair do you have?

For curly long hair (below shoulder length) roll your hair when it mostly dry.  It should just be damp.  Use rollers that are 1 inch in diameter (mine are pink), separating the hair into very think sections, wrapping the hair around the roller without causing it to tighten in on the center.  Sleep on it overnight.  Leave the rollers in as long as you can before having to remove and style.  Just before styling, blow dry them all over, on a low setting, being sure to move the rollers to blow dry the hair at the scalp on each one.  This will ensure that the hair is fully dry.

For wavy long hair, follow the same procedure, but use rollers with a diameter that is larger than 1 inch diameter.

For curly shoulder length or shorter hair, follow the same procedure, using 3/4 inch and/or 1/2 inch diameter rollers.

For wavy short hair, use 1 inch or larger diameter rollers.

    TIPS:

When you are rolling, be sure to keep the ends flat against the roller and when winding the length of hair over them on to the roller.  If you don't you'll end up with either frizzy ends or bent ends that stick out funny all over.

Use a spray bottle to lightly mist the hair before rolling if it becomes dry while you are working on other sections.

If you own a curler cap, put it on over the rollers before going to bed.  It will help keep them in place and you'll get a better result.

  4. Yeah, sponge curlers are hard to work with and the results aren't always the best. Just make sure your hair is dry and brush your hair first then when you put them in spray hairspray all over them

    good luck =]
