  1. When you get the ball take 3 steps back from the serving line....Put the ball in the oposite hand you going to hit with and take a step during the second step give it a high toss it in the not to high though and not to close...or to far so just sit and practice that 20 before you attempt it in a game...The throw is crucial with the last step strike the ball don't use your fist!!!!!!! Make sure you flat hand it and don't aim to high either because most of the time if you hit a high ball in your gym it'll hit the roof in another. Try to wait a few seconds with the ball in hand most of the time the crowd will sort of lower themselves down. But like I said earlier just keep practicing your throw it is sooooooooo crucial@!!!!!!!! Good Luck <3 Che Che

  2. Hello I'm a national u-18 player

hold the ball in Ur hand above your head in front n above  Ur face

keep Ur other hand tight n stretched (if u can not necessary toss the ball) n hit Ur palm at the side of ball facing towards u.

    best of luck dear

plz repeat it 4 better results

  3. Do NOT toss the ball "too high", simply **push** it up in front of your swing arm and "high-five" the ball aiming at the center of your opponent's court.

You can start practicing at the 10-feet line. Once you have the correct form and the confidence, move yourself away from the net, about 5 feet per 10 good serves till you get to the baseline. Keep practicing everyday and you will be good.

Make sure you "lock up" yourself so that only your front foot would move towards the target. You should move your weight from your right foot to your left foot (assuming your right arm is the swinging arm).

  4. first make sure your toss is good. every time you have a ball through about ten with your dominate foot forwarded and it should land about on your toe. also, make sure its right about your dominate shoulder, if its not your serve will be very different every time you go to hit it.

a practice i always had to do was standing right by a wall. i would have to toss the ball, step into it, and then make the ball stay in place by firmly hitting it against the wall. the first several times you do it the ball will come flying back at you or something will go wrong but I will tell you thats how I learned to serve.

I have quite playing volleyball now but because i did that almost every time i had a ball  i can still overhand server

  5. First work on throwing the ball over the net from the position you wish to serve.  The throwing motion is the same motion you will need with the serve.  Both require arm speed which is the necessity to properly get the serve over.  When you get to the point of serving, work hard on extending the arm making contact with the ball by keeping it high.  Most people want to make contact with the ball low and have a bend in their elbos.  My daughter has been working on this and then all the sudden she really started busting the ball.   Early on, technique is very critical so don't get frustrated and keep after it......

  6. im having troubles with this too! my dad told me to step forward with my right foot (im right handed) while i hit the ball! use your whole body, not just your arm! my dad also talked  to a friend of his and he said his daughter could not get it over the net! then one day, she just got it! she got her routine down... her stratagey! hope i hellped!
