  1. You need to crate train her slowly.

    1. In the beginning just make going in the crate fun for her, and don't even close the door. Throw some REALLY good food in, praise her when she goes in to get it, and let her come out again. Keep repeating until she is comfortable with this.

    2. Once she is good with this, try feeding her inside the crate so she will associate it with good things. Don't close the door yet.

    3. Once she is comfortable with this, repeat step 1, but this time close the door briefly (3 seconds), and open it. Keep repeating. As she becomes more and more comfortable with this you can slowly increase the duration you leave her in the crate.

    4. In the meantime, consider putting her in a long term enclosure (e.g. a secure and safe room like the kitchen, or set up a puppy pen). Put bedding, water bowl and puppy pads in the enclosure. Also give her lots of safe chew toys and safe food toys (frozen kongs) to work on.

  2. You plan to keep her crated while at school? Dogs shouldn't be crated for more then 4 hours during the daytime and that's pushing it pretty far.
