  1. Stickers on a guitar ALWAYS look like total c**p, something only a 10-year-old girl would do.  Have you EVER seen any of the cool professional guitarists you admire with stickers on their guitar? NO. Why?  Because they LOOK LIKE c**p.

And they will have a negative effect on the sound.

So if you're going to put c**p on your guitar, it better not be a good quality instrument, and you'd better be able to take them off later without damaging the finish, because when you get older, you will realize just how lame and childish they look.

  2. my guitar is pink so i just put stickers on it.  but they are positive stickers.  They say Dance to your Own Music, Live in peace and peace will live in you.  Ya know positive sayings.

  3. That's a great thing to do if you're six years old.  However, acoustic guitars produce sound when the top resonates; anything you do that keeps the top from resonating - like putting stickers on it - hurts the sound.

  4. A guitar is probably the MOST beautiful of instruments... so WHY would you want to s***w it up with a bunch of c**p stuck on it?

If you MUST put junk on it.. then be sure it can come off, because when you grow up you aren't going to want a guitar that looks childish.

  5. Won't decorating it potentially change the sound?  I know that alot of effort is put into the types of wood used and the varnishes to finish them.

  6. i wouldnt, i like the guitars the way they are.

  7. Never put stickers on a guitar. I know you already were given a bunch of c**p about this so I will not say anything more about that.

If you want to customize it, spray paint is the best thing to use. You need to check with a pro with these things, one bad move and you could ruin the instrument. There are a lot of prepping steps before you apply paint. But, make  ABSOLUTELY sure it is what you want before you get started.
