Question:

Tips to help me pass better in volleyball?

Last season I started as Libero and I'm still a pretty good passer. I got moved to setter after the first game, and have been there ever since. Anyway, this year I have been playing C team, and I know I really deserve to play A. I just think it's my passing that's keeping me back. So, lately I've been having a little trouble getting under the hits, and getting the passes up. Does anybody have any little tips to help me get the passes up and get under the hits better?

  1. I play vollyball and this season my passes have been starting to get really good. What I try to do is really get under the ball, keep your shoulders square to the net, and just let it hit ur arms between your elbows and ur wrists. u dont have to pound it, but im sure u already know that. If it's being spiked at you don't be afraid to get on the ground or pancake it.if its coming at u really fast sometimes its easier to let it his the flat surface of ur hands, depending how u hold them. Over all, just practice. ul get better.

  2. always be low, and DON'T swing your arms.

whoever or wherever you are passing the ball too, your feet and hands should be pointing at them. remember, be low, and when the ball is coming at you use your LEGS to move, (navigate the ball) and use them to pass, your arms, DO NOT give you power, your legs do.

  3. i would say u should line up with the hitters arm..  u should also try and  bend your legs when u pass and keep your plat from strong!!! is this helps put me as the best answer

  4. Have teammates hit at you. If you're at home throw the ball in the air and bump it to yourself in the air. Stay low and point your shoulders where you want the ball to go. Try to get the ball above the attack line. Use your muscles from your arms and legs to send the ball, and whatever you do, don't swing your arms! Good Luck and I hope this helps!
