  1. Don't smoke, drink plenty of water, a healthy diet and plenty of sleep. Hope this helps.

  2. If you have short-sight, don't expect it to stop increasing until you're around 18-20. When your vision stops changing, you may want to consider getting surgery.

There's not much you can do. Until then, take a break regularly from the computer, reading, etc every hour for 15 minutes. Look into the distant during this time as your eye muscles will relax.

Wear a cap outside in the sun to prevent getting cataracts later in life. Or sunglasses.

  3. dont just sit in front of the tv for hours dear.

have some break in between - like 10 mins break.

this will help you not having red eyes or even dry ones..

and yes the firt thing you do when you woke up in the morning..

go outside and if there are anything green - tress or flowers just look at them for some 30 mins.

    stare at them.

this is meant to refresh your eyes and soothe them

and yes eat as many carrots as you like they do improve the eye sight

    hope it works for you

  4. Carrots actually don't contain any antioxidants that are found in the eye. Spinach is better. And eye drops can keep your eyes moist. There is also a screen shade you can put on your computer to reduce glare.

  5. Always wear sunglasses in the sun and sunny/cloudy days.

  6. Eat more carrots!

  7. Probably staring at the tv and pc screen too much, and also avoid too much artificial light - always  read in good light.

Rest your eyes whenever you get the chance. Just close them for as long as you can, and roll your eyeballs with your eyes closed - this strengthens the eye muscles .

  8. go 2 the opticians

    so am i!

    and wats so stupid!

  9. Hi,

Your eyesight is arguably your most precious 'gift' and you are wise to try and take care of it from a young age.

To help take care of your eyesight, you need to take breaks from reading or looking at a PC screen. Go to a window and look into the distance and from side to side. Wear UV/UB ray protected sunglasses in sunny conditions but don't look directly at the Sun even with the sunglasses on. You can look at the labels for UV/UB protection when buying sunglasses. Boots chemists stock the UV/UB sunglasses as do many of the department stores and some designer/fashion sunglasses ranges. Also, don't read in poor light especially at night. If you find your vision is blurring, you are squinting or you notice any change in your vision, this needs to be checked out by an optician straight away. I think school age children get free eye tests. If you are worried, you could have a chat with your parents about seeing an optician. It is recommended that adults have an eye test every two years but it's never too early to take care of your eyes.

It could be that you've been overdoing it reading, especially in poor light or on the PC or if you have exams coming up but if there is a problem, early action is best. The optician can refer people to hospital if need be as well as well as advise/prescribe specs or contact lenses.

    All the best with this.
