Tips to start running?

i decided to start running because id like to get in better shape. my goal right now is 2 miles without stopping. im almost there. any tips on running? getting farther or just any tips in general. thanks!! =]

  1. Take long strides, breath through your nose, take a water bottle with you.


  2. Ive been running track for 2 years now and i broke a record my freshmen year.The most important things of running is to stretch. Drink lots of water to begin and after your done drink gatorade. Gatorade has lots of sodium and electrolytes. When you are running breath in your nose and out you mouth. pump your arms. When you are doing this you should pretend that your taking a potato chip out you back pocket and putting it in your mouth. I been told that by alot of people. You should not go hard the first time you run, jog for 10 min and then stretch. Do this 3 times a day. when you get ready to go long distance take long strides and breath slow. If you dont feel good the first time take a 5 min break and then go. If you get a cramp stop and get some water.For me i run more and it goes away. If i get cramps after running i eat a tsp. of musturd.So good luck and if you need any more info im always happy to help
