  1. They love millet spray as a treat!  You can buy it at any pet store.  You should buy a play stand   it might be awhile before he likes it but once he does he will want to come out of the cage to play on it.  Don't let him know that he will win his way if he nips at you when you try to get him out of the cage or he will keep doing it.  Yes it will hurt to be bit but once he sees that you won't back down he should stop trying to bite you.

    Hope this helps!

  2. I know a few things but I'll refer you to my sister...  ;0)

  3. Making him friendlier may or may not be something you have much control over. We inherited a cockatiel from my husbands grandmother ( no one else wanted the bird ) He's sweet and cheerful, but does not like to be handled at all. So, my recommendation to you would be.......find out out if your aunt handled him much, if so how and when. Keep talking to him, they like company and conversation. Whistle, sing anything to engage him. I found a great website with tips on nutrition. Check it out a lot of helpful tips on what to feed what not to feed, etc.
