Tipsy Glass Table Top .. Need some ideas please?

We have round glass table top (6' diamter) that is attached to the 1.5' by 1.5' square plaster base by only 4 small suction cups. The small sucton cups don't really do a good job. The glass top can tip easily from the base when someone is not careful by putting a little pressure on his side. We tried many things but nothing work so far. We took the suction cups off and use super glue between the glass and base. That didn't work. Now we are thinking some epoxy like mighty putty but from what I read reviews it didn't hold up to it's advertising. We want something clear if possible. Need some ideas please. Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

  1. Try clear silicone this will stick it to the base and not allow it to move around on you also it will not show that well.

  2. What about making a decorative '' X '' almost the size of the glass and s******g it to the base and setting the top on that. Just a thought .

  3. I agree, use a silicone.  But since it is a clear table, put it on correctly. (yes, it dries clear, but you will still be able to see it if you put it on sloppily.)  Remove the suction cups and remove whatever adhered them to the table, and just use silicone between the base and the glass.
