Which tire is bigger 205 or 215? And also does that determine the height of the tire?

  1. 215 is taller than a 205 . only by a little. higher the number the taller the tire


  2. 215 is larger.  lets say you have a 215/75R15-  215 is 215 mm across the face of the tire (tread side to side)  75 is the % compared to the 215 mm is the height of the sidewall.  And of course the 15 is which wheel it fits on (15 inch wheel).

  3. a 215 is wider than a 205.  the number indicates the nominal tread width in millimeters.

    the height is expressed as a ratio of the width of thread as in 215-75R15

    75 means the sidewall height is 75% of the 215 mm thread.
