  1. Because you think you a better motorcycle designer than the manufacturer of your bike? Heck, you should fly to japan and one of the big four will hire you straight away. Leave it alone, save your money.

  2. yeah on a "600cc" bike making the only advanage you will have would be going in a straight line.  Your cornering will decreas a LOT.  you will be more stable and it is possible. Wont look right or feel right.

Plus just for the record your bike is most likely a 599cc. unless you have deep engine work done to it, its impossible to get 600cc bike.

  3. Most 600 bikes come with a 180 back tire. Depending on your riding style it may be the best fit. 180 back is good for curve killin, cornering and straight line riding. The higher in width you go, the less agile your bike will be. I recently went from a 190 to 180 and it's a world of difference.

The only scenario where having a wide tire is an advantage is if your bike is in competition shows, or drag strip. Wider contact surface makes more grip for a better hook during launch. Adversly, the more tire is touching the ground, the more drag you'll have, so....

Stick with a 180, you can find a sale on Dunlops, Michelin, or Pirreli for anywhere between $90 and $130 for a back tire. $20 to have it mounted and balenced.

  4. It's possible to put a wider tire on the back, but completely pointless. In fact, you'll make the bike slower in both straight and twisty roads. Just forget about it - bad idea.
